In a recent interview, Pyaar Ka Punchnaama fame Ishita Raj Sharma opened up on a number of things from both her professional and personal life. From her equation with director Luv Ranjan during the shoot of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety to her favourite movies, Ishita answered all questions with an eternal smile on her face. Given below are a few things about her that many fans may not be aware of:
Ishita Raj Sharma – usually referred to by her nickname “Kittu”- hails from Delhi.
When asked about her family background, she said that her father is a businessman and her mother a homemaker.
She calls herself and her sister “travel buffs”. The two have been to many countries abroad– like the US and the UK — all by themselves and that too at a very young age.
After completing her B. Com from Gargi College, New Delhi, Ishita moved to London to pursue a major in Business Studies.
Quite expected, when asked about her favourite destination, Ishita answered “London” in a flash!
“Pyaar Ka Punchnaama happened by accident”
Ishita Raj Sharma says that she first came to Mumbai to audition for Hema Malini’s TV show- Maati Ke Banno. It was during the audition for this TV show that she was spotted by Luv Ranjan’s casting director, Vicky, who offered her the role of ‘Charu’ in Pyaar ka Punchnaama.
Ishita Raj Sharma has a hatred for summers!
During the interview, Ishita laid great emphasis on the fact that she loathes summers as doing outdoor shooting on hot days seems more like a punishment to her.
When asked about how she maintains her physical fitness…
Ishita Raj Sharma resorts to dance classes, gymming and maintaining a food routine to keep herself going. She adds that she doesn’t even touch soft drinks, and avoids proteins and carbohydrates during the night.
Idli-Sambar, Poha, unpolished rice, multi-grain chappatis, grilled fish and chicken are among her favourite food, which she usually prefers cooking at home.
Height & Weight
Standing ‘tall’ at 5 feet 3 inches, and weighing around 48 kg, Ishita believes that a person’s height, weight, caste or creed can never become an obstacle in their journey to success.
A huge fan of Salman Khan
During the interview, Ishita reminisces on how she had seen Salman Khan’s “Maine Pyar Kiya” as many as eight times and had become an over-night fan of him during her school days!
